The Pursuit

Welcome to the official blog of The Pursuit! I've got a feeling that God will be speaking long after we've left on Wednesdays so I wanted a place to write down not only those thoughts but my own here and there. First off, in case anyone is confused The Pursuit is the new name for Live Worship Wednesdays. It's really been going great but I feel like the ultimate expression of why we gather is to continually pursue the heart of God in a deeper and more intimate way, hence, why I feel lead to start calling this, The Pursuit. This is more then a time to sing. This is more then a time for words. This is a time to actively pursue He who has pursued us first. As we push deeper into Him and His love, I know that He responds by pulling us into Himself. It is literally commanded in the Scriptures that we pursue righteousness and as our righteousness is in Christ, we chase God. 2 Timothy 2:22 says, "Flee the evil desires of youth, and pursue righteousness, faith, love and peace, along with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart." Let's make that the real motive for meeting together. Let's actively pursue righteousness. Let's actively pursue faith. Let's actively pursue love. Let us actively pursue our God.
