The Pursuit Begins.....

So this wednesday will officially begin The Pursuit in its newest form and I've got to say, I'm so excited! I felt as though walls really started crumbling this weekend at Faith Chapel and I fully expect them to continue to break over us as a people. If our main services are where the walls begin to crumble, then I feel like The Pursuit is actively pushing against the cracks that have formed. I was remembering today what a pastor once told me. We are like rubber bands. Very profound right? If you've ever seen a very old rubber band, you know how fragile it is. It literally can snap very easily or crumble all together. It does this because it has not been stretched. The more it is stretched, the harder for it to crumble. Our lives are no different. When we choose the comfortable positions of life, we stop being stretched and in turn, we are far more likely to be brittle. But when you look at the well worn life, you see something else. You see someone who has chosen to step outside of the things they know, follow God through the stretching, and become so much stronger for it! We are rubber bands. God, would You stretch us? Would you continually challenge us that we wouldn't become stagnant and brittle? Let us grow in You Father.
Passionately Pursuing You
